Genocide is the massacre of race. It is the mass killing of a group of people. The term geno means race in Greek and cide is a Latin word which means killing. It is a very specific term, referring to violent crimes committed against groups of people with an aim of destroying their entire existence. Though Raphael Lemkin first coined the word genocide to denote killings of European Jews by Nazis in the twentieth century

Capital punishment is defined as the penalty of death for the commission of a crime. The term 'capital punishment' is originated from the Latin word 'caput', meaning 'head'. It initially referred to death by decapitation. Death penalty laws were established way back in the Eighteenth Century BC in the Code of King Hammaurabi of Babylon, which codified the death penalty for 25 different crimes.

The word juvenile is defined differently by varying terms including youthful, immature, childish etc., and the juvenile delinquent is defined as 'a young person who habitually breaks the law, especially somebody repeatedly charged with vandalism or other anti-social behaviour'. Thus those offences committed by adults and punishable, which when committed by children or youth under the age of eighteen are denoted as juvenile crimes and the juvenile courts deal with such cases.
